Tesla Fleet API Consent: This document describes how Wattly processes your data when you connect your Tesla account. By using Wattly, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Data Controller

By using Wattly, you consent to the processing of your Personal Data by Arnau Font Soto ("Partner") in the context of the Partner's application titled: Wattly (the "App"). Partner is the data controller responsible for the processing of your Personal Data in the context of the App.

2. Tesla Privacy Notice

By using Wattly, you also acknowledge receipt of the Tesla Customer Privacy Notice and consent to the processing of Personal Data by Tesla in accordance with the Tesla Privacy Notice.

3. App Functionalities

The App will allow you to benefit from advanced functionalities and will allow Partner to better manage your vehicle experience. These functionalities may include:

Remote Commands

  • Locking/unlocking doors
  • Opening trunk/frunk
  • Remote start (when correct PIN is provided)
  • Open/close windows and sunroof
  • Honking horn and flashing lights
  • Climate controls (heating, cooling, seat heaters)
  • Adjusting charge limit and charging controls

Remote Information Collection

  • Energy data and battery state
  • Charge state and charging history
  • Lock state and security status
  • Drive state and vehicle status
  • Climate state and cabin temperature
  • Current location and trip tracking

4. Personal Data Processed

You understand and agree that to benefit from the App advanced functionalities, Partner must process some of your Personal Data, which may include:

  • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) - to identify your vehicle
  • Speed information - for trip tracking and efficiency analysis
  • Odometer readings - for mileage tracking and statistics
  • Battery use management information - for battery health monitoring
  • Battery charging history - for charging analytics and cost tracking
  • Electrical system functions - for vehicle status monitoring
  • Software version information - for firmware update tracking
  • Safety-related data - for important warnings and notifications
  • Vehicle and drive state data - including road segment data and current location

5. How We Use Your Data

Partner will only use this information to:

  • Provide you with the above functionalities
  • Issue remote product commands at your request
  • Collect information about certain aspects of your vehicle's state
  • Advise you on important safety-related information
  • Collect information about your vehicle's performance and provide related services
  • Enable better management and efficiency analysis of your vehicle
  • Provide services to vehicle users where applicable

6. Data Protection

Partner maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use. These include:

  • OAuth with PKCE: We never see or store your Tesla password
  • Secure Token Storage: Credentials stored in iOS Keychain
  • Encrypted Connections: All data transmitted via TLS/HTTPS
  • EU-Based Servers: Data processed within the European Union

7. Data Retention

Partner will only retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide you with the App, unless otherwise authorized by you, or required or authorized by applicable law.

  • Account data: Until you request deletion
  • Vehicle data: Up to 2 years, or until account deletion
  • Access tokens: Revoked upon logout or revocation

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request and receive information about your Personal Data
  • Rectification: Update and correct inaccuracies in your Personal Data
  • Erasure: Have your information deleted, as appropriate
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke this consent at any time without cost
  • Access Declaration: Access your consent declaration at any time

These rights may be limited in some circumstances by local law requirements.

Note: Withdrawing consent will prevent Wattly from accessing your vehicle data and providing the App's functionalities, but will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
