Terms of Use
By downloading, installing, or using Wattly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Wattly, you confirm that:
- You are at least 16 years old
- You have the legal authority to accept these terms
- You are the owner or authorized user of the Tesla vehicle(s) you connect
- You have the right to connect your Tesla account to third-party applications
- You are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country
- You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
2. License Grant and Scope
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Licensed Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The Licensed Application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
3. Description of Service
Wattly is a companion app for Tesla vehicle owners that provides:
- Vehicle Monitoring: Real-time battery status, climate, and location
- Trip Tracking: Automatic trip logging with energy consumption data
- Charging Management: Charging session history and cost tracking
- Battery Health: Estimated battery degradation over time
- Vehicle Commands: Remote control of lock, climate, and other functions
4. Tesla Account Connection
4.1 Authorization
To use Wattly, you must authorize the app to access your Tesla account through Tesla's official OAuth authentication system. By doing so, you grant Wattly permission to:
- Read vehicle data (status, location, charging, etc.)
- Execute vehicle commands (if you enable this feature)
- Receive real-time telemetry data (if you enable Fleet Telemetry)
4.2 Virtual Key
Some features require you to add Wattly as a virtual key in your Tesla app. This is a Tesla security requirement for sending commands to your vehicle. You can revoke this access at any time through the Tesla app.
4.3 Third Party Terms
When using Wattly, you must comply with all applicable third-party terms of agreement, including but not limited to Tesla's Terms of Service, your mobile carrier's data agreement, and any other relevant service agreements.
5. User Responsibilities
As a Wattly user, you agree to:
- Keep your Tesla account credentials secure
- Not share Wattly access with unauthorized individuals
- Revoke access immediately if you suspect unauthorized use
- Use the app in accordance with Tesla's terms of service
- Use the app in accordance with all applicable laws
- Not use the app to track vehicles without owner consent
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the app
6. Vehicle Commands
When using vehicle commands (lock/unlock, climate control, etc.), you are responsible for ensuring these actions are safe and appropriate. Never unlock a vehicle remotely unless you are certain of the situation. Wattly is not responsible for any incidents resulting from remote command usage.
7. Maintenance and Support
The Developer is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application, as specified in this EULA or as required under applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application.

8. Service Availability
Wattly depends on Tesla's Fleet API and telemetry services. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to:
- Changes or limitations to Tesla's API
- Vehicle connectivity issues
- Server maintenance or outages
- Network connectivity problems
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage.
9. Data Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, data displayed in Wattly (including battery health estimates, energy calculations, and location data) is provided for informational purposes only. You should not rely solely on this data for critical decisions.
10. Subscription Terms
- Product Name: Wattly Access
- Subscription Length: Monthly (renews every 30 days)
- Price: Displayed in the app based on your region
- Free Trial: 7-day free trial for new subscribers
If you subscribe to Wattly Access:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
11. Refunds
Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policies. To request a refund, please contact Apple directly through your purchase history or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
12. Warranty
The Developer is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the Developer's sole responsibility.
13. Product Claims
You acknowledge that the Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and/or use of the Licensed Application, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Wattly is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We are not responsible for any damages arising from app usage
- We are not responsible for data loss, inaccuracies, or service interruptions
- We are not responsible for actions resulting from vehicle commands
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription (if any)
15. Intellectual Property
Wattly and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app
- Use the Wattly name or logo without permission
- Reverse engineer or decompile the app
You acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of the Licensed Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
16. Termination
You can stop using Wattly at any time by:
- Deleting the app from your device
- Revoking Tesla account access through your Tesla account settings
- Removing the virtual key from the Tesla app
- Requesting account deletion at privacy@wattlyapp.tech
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Wattly for violations of these terms.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Wattly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
18. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and Spain. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
19. Third Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this EULA, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
